    Stourbridge Town station

Stourbridge is fortunate to have two railway stations run by Central Trains. The main line station, Stourbridge Junction, about 1 mile out of town and the branchline Stourbridge Town, which serves the town centre.

Also Travel West Midlands buses have a bus station at the "Town end" which serve all areas around Stourbridge and both train and bus connect with Birmingham and beyond.

The trains also have direct services to Worcester, Malvern, Hereford, Stratford and a limited service to Londan Marylebone.

TWM buses have low access facility making it easier to get on/off for the mobility impaired.
Stoubridge Junction railway station has lifts facilities to aid changing platforms and
Stourbridge Town station has level access.

Ramped underpass access to the town centre takes you beneath the ring road as dashing accross this busy road is certainly not reccomended.

I have a small collection of railway pictures of Stourbridge on a travelogue. Click the Website link below.

    UK's shortest branch line

Not to be missed is a trip from Stourbridge Junction to Stourbridge Town - a trip of 1 mile. One carriage shuttles between the two and doesn't even turn round. The driver simply gets out at the station and walks to the other end

There is a fairly comprehensive bus service from the bus station which is adjacent to the town centre - go through the pedestrian subway. Alongside the bus station is the Stourbridge Town Railway Station providing a shuttle service to Stourbridge Junction Railway Station.
