Every year Shoreham Airport hosts an airshow run in aid of the Royal Air Forces Association charity. This year (2004) it is being held on the August Bank Holiday Weekend 28th and 29th.
This is a worthwhile experience if you happen to be in the area and like aircrat. They have many types of aircraft flying from WWII bombers and fighter to present day fast jets.
On the ground there are static aircraft displays such as a Tornado or Harrier. Also classic cars. Craft tents and other small stalls are also present.

This is a small cafe/restaurant in the terminal building at the airport and very poular.
You can sit outside with a bite to eat or just a coffee and watch teh light aircraft and helicopters go about thei business with the imposing Lancing College Chapel overseeing the action from the hill.
If you are lucky you may see the police helicopter take off or land.
