Marine Gardens Restaurant is tucked away in West Worthing along the seafront in a quiet little garden setting. There is a bowls rink and a putting green. It is so relaxing to sit in or stroll around the gardens in the sunshine. The food is fairly tradional for a sea side place - fish and chips, salads, etc but they do have a great homemade Steak and Kidney Pie, and the homemade special which was available when I was there was Lambs Liver and Bacon. They are open for breakfasts and also do a mean Cream Tea in the afternoon. Portions are huge and great value for money - they take Euros too !!
Favorite Dish: Its got to be the Steak and Kidney Pie - So British !!! Yummy too !!
Not technically in Worthing ,but nearby Ferring's too small to show on here.
Very old fashioned 50's cafe on Ferring beach does a decent fry up before 12 on Sunday mornings and is very popular during the summer. You can take your breakfast and eat on the terrace or on the beach itself.
Favorite Dish: Fry up - comes with Roast potatoes
Tea - comes with milk and sugar
The only place mad enough to stay open in vandalism hour ( 12-1) , north of the railway line serves average chinese food and truly awful late night snacks. The chips are green and one bag had a bit of gravel in it.
Favorite Dish: Pancake Rolls - The greasiest thing you will ever eat ,perfect for skiving off work because of the resultant violent stomach complaints.
