Just go that bit further!
Living on the edge of the Bronte Moors this has been my back yard for 36 years...free to go out and play anytime in my back yard. Its not all about the Bronte's but thank you those lovely ladies to put the moors on the map. I am sure they haven't change much in over 100 years but the glaciers that forged this landscape has left some gems to be explored and enjoyed. The weather can change the mood and feeling in a breath...the ground under foot, smell of burning moorland, heather blooming, icicles hanging off unground springs and the winds that come of the South Pennines are powerful to say the least
Just go that bit further on the left stone path pass Top withens over to Walshaw dean the landscape is amazing any time of the year...as long as is clear.
At the back of the Withens follow the sheep track to the Alcomden Stones they amazing, have character, faces, even the warriors seat!
The solitude and mystery of the Moors, hidden gems all waiting withing a 3 mile radius from the Alcomden Stones and Boulsworth. Its the Stanbury Moors..enjoy the pictures I have more to share and tips to explore

Moors rider bus
On summer Sundays a bus takes visitors from the railway station and the stop near the Bronte house to the woolen mill on the moors above the town. The ride is wonderful with scenic views and a chance to see the beautiful countryside.
