Huddersfield is well connected to the main towns and cities in the UK, with direct connections to Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Scarborough and Bradford.
The journey between Manchester and Huddersfield across the Pennine mountain range is very scenic. (£15 rtn Manchester Airport to Huddersfield)
The people from Huddersfield get very upset if you push into a queue. Even when it is totally obvious you have been waiting there an hour for the bus, if you're not in the queue you'll at least get funny looks.
The bus to Oldham on Saturdays gets really busy, so I tend to arrive an hour early, sit on the seats by the stand, and read a book.
Dublin to Huddersfield
We flew from Dublin to Manchester, then got a train straight from Manchester airport to Huddersfield.
