The location is amazing but the positives end there. The menu looks amazing but when it arrived is was average to say the least and therefore disappointing. The staff were rude and lacked social skills. This in turn created an unpleasant atmosphere and made us feel uncomfortable. We were visitors to the area however we would not make a return visit nor recommend it.
Favorite Dish: The bread & olives were good
We probably had to wait about half an hour or so to get a table, but just below the restaurant area is a lovely garden to sit awhile, enjoy the sunshine and have a drink whilst waiting - note waiters will not serve drinks or food in the garden area.
Traditional Sunday roasts available as well as a varied menu - including hot chicken caesar salad in a raspberry jous.
I was feeling adventurous so i tried the nut roast - this had spinach, wild mushrooms and cheese in it as well as the nuts. It was quite tasty - could have done with some more roast potatoes though ;-)
Cost was about £7- £9 per main meal.
The local pub of the same name is a popular spot for a Sunday lunch - and on warm days like we had you may have to wait before being setaed at the terrace restaurant area outside - there is seating indoors but it was so pleasant to sit outside.
