Favorite thing: Medieval tournament is a great event. People are placed on the hill and show is in front of you. Tournament is a series of battles with blunted weapons and object is the same as in real combat, to vanquish your opponent.
It is not just a show but also way to learn how some weapon was used in the past and you can learn about advantages and disadvantages. You may see swords, lances, bows, halberds, armores etc.
Few hours will pass in a minute.

Favorite thing: Walking along the chalky paths of the ramparts, as well as on the hill outside, you get great views back towards Salisbury itself with the cathedral spire visible in most kinds of weather, and also views in most other directions. Sometimes you're amazed that the little planes from the local flying club don't hit you in the head you're that high up and they're that low! Then you realise that you want to be in one of those planes yourself just to get a better overview of the circular monument that is Old Sarum.
