This book, 50 Walks in Wiltshire by Hancock, is a great read on your way to the area. And once you get there, you can follow the directions in the book to places to have a pleasant afternoon stroll through some of England's most lovely country. The novelist, Jane Austen, has used the Wiltshire area as the backdrop because of its expansive views. You too can get caught up in the England of old by walking through the England of the present.
