The adult pool

Five Rivers leisure centre is by South Wilts Grammar School for Girl's, it's just a few minutes walk from the city. It has recently had a new swimming pool built with slide & facilities. There’s a large car park round the back, & the River Avon can be found at the bottom of the area. Five Rivers Leisure Centre has lots of sports & services.

Equipment: Three swimming pools
Main pool, teaching pool & beach pool. There’s a café next door as well & you can watch the swimmers through a large vewing area.

Fitness suite and gym
An wide range of equipment, areas & sessions for all fitness needs like a gym & steam/sauna rooms, just open the door to get a blast of sweaty air.

Dance studio. I go club cycling in the summer & when I’m waiting for all the other’s to come, you can hear the music blearing out the door; makes me tired just listening to them!

3 squash courts & 8 badminton courts, known as the orange light district because of the huge light’s they have shining down on the floor. You can also hire requet's.

Health & therapy centre
Offering a range of traditional & therapies like sports injury, or massage

Variety of classes & sessions
with fitness, Martial Arts (Judo & Shotocan Karate, Ti Chee), yoga, relaxation & more

Kids activities
With holiday clubs, parties. This takes place during the summer holidays & weekends.

Determined air bikers

This is my local gym is called the Guilder Lane Centre and I have been coming here for years. The maanager is called Trish and she's great. There is a choice of air biking, Body Max, Sports Injury Clinic, yoga, Acupuncture and Alexander Technique. The are male and female changing rooms with showers, althrough there are no lockers.

There is a friendly atmosphere and a great place to meet people.

Equipment: Own towels to use the gym and plenty of water, althrough you can get some. Air biking is thirsty work.
