Stonehenge Visitor Center Souvenir Store: Stonehenge Visitor Center Souvenir Store

by machomikemd Written Aug 24, 2015

The Stonhenge Visitor's Center is located west of the actual stones of Stonehenge at about 2.6 kilometers west and where there is a separate parking areas for cars and vans from the big tour buses, Unlike in other touristy areas of Britian, There is only one Souvenir Store in Stonehenge and it is located at the Visitor's Center as after you exit the Stonehenge shuttle bus after going back from the stones, you will enter the large Souvenir Store where you can buy all kinds of Souvenir Items and Touristy Items and also some local artisanal produce and food like local wines, jams of food (or not, it is your choice really).

THe Visitor's Center is Open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm everyday

the Single Floor Visitor's Center also houses the ticketing office (you cannot buy tickets here, you only collect your tickets which you booked and paid in advance via their online website or the tour group tickets by the tour group companies. The visitor's Center also houses the Shuttle Bus Stop to Stonehenge, a large cafeteria and coffee house, a souvenir shop, some replica stonehenge ancient huts and the interactive theatre called "Standing in The Stones"

THe Visitor's Center is Open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm everyday

What to buy: like what I;ve said you can find all the souvenir items and touristy items you normally find at touristy sites such as shirts, books, posters, paper weights, shot glass, cups, mugs, clip holders, fridge magnets, local wine, local fruit jams, local cookies and a lot more, but the prices are rather high as this is the only souvenir store in Stonehenge.

What to pay: 7 GBP or more for a Fridge Magnet, 10 GBP or More for a Small Mug, 7 GBP or More for a small Shot Glass

    Stonehenge Giftshop

by Krumlovgirl Written Aug 18, 2005

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Of course Stonehenge must have its own giftshop. Actually, it's not that bad. I bought some stuff there myself. Although it carries the usual assortment of postcards, pencils with little stonehenge erasers, and placemats (?) it also has some really neat items as well that you probably won't find anywhere else. I got a great poster of Stonehenge at sunrise for very little. They had a good selection of history books on the subject, too, which were helpful. You probably won't find this stuff anywhere else, except maybe on the Internet, so I would advise you to buy while you're there if you see something that catches your fancy.
