When looking for somewhere to park in Evesham make sure you either park in a Pay and Display carpark or at least take note of the parking regulations. If you don't you are likely to fall foul of the Traffic Wardens who prowl in pairs ready to pounce once you are a minute over your allowed time.
there is a rail line through evesham that can be used to reach Birmingham and London. London takes about 1hr 50mins and is over 100 miles away whereas Birmingham takes about 1hr 50mins and is only 30 miles away, this is because you have to change and wait for connections.
Birmingham is also 1hr 50min by bus and these run every hour.
all the surrounding areas are serviced by various sizes of bus.
for journeys further away there are National Express coaches which only have limited stops.
you can get a Taxi most times of the day by phoning up or going to the taxi rank in the centre of town. except at the weekend when the taxis are generally busy outside the nightclub in Bridge street.
A more unusual way of getting to Evesham is by boat on the River Avon.
Beware of the one way system in the centre of town. at certain times of the day be prepared for some long delays.
My condolences and thoughts go out to the family and friends of the 6 people who lost their lives and all the injured in Saturdays coach crash on the M25.
Included in the dead was the owner of the company Graham Spring and fellow driver Chris Sloane and his wife Karen.
