The weekend of 18,19,20 June 2004 saw the annual Three Counties Show (TCS) at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern Wells.
I had never been to the show before so we decided to take the short trip from Upton Upon Severn on the Sunday morning. The weather didn`t look too promising but off we went anyway.
Somehow we managed to avod the usual queues and drove straight into the carpark and took the short walk to the main entrance. Beware though you have to cross a main road, although it does have temporary traffic lights.
We paid the entrance fee of £11.50 for adults until 1pm, and £9.50 there after and in we went.
The show is a bit like a giant market, gymkana, flower show, fairground, livestock show and exhibition all rolled into one, there is definately something for everyone.
The show is mainly a showcase for farmers livestock, with a wide variety of animals being shown. The main animals shown are cattle, pigs, sheep and poultry, although these days there are more unusual breeds and animals like the Alpaco.
I will go into more detail of the show and the various exhibits in my travelogues.
