The Tudor House Museum contains exhibits from Uptons` past and present, alot of them donated by locals. There is a large collection of photographs, postcards, plates and newspapers as well as many other bits and pieces depicting life in Upton Upon Severn.
Out the back there is a lovely garden where ducks can sometimes be seen wandering about.
The museum is open daily from 2-5pm: April-October including Bank Holidays and Winter Sundays 2-4. It is a little on the small side but there is enough to while away some time, especially if it is a rainy day.
Admission
£1.00
Families £2.00
Students & OAP £0.50

A cruise on the MV Conway Castle takes you along the River Severn for meals and dancing, even shopping trips to Worcester. It can be hired for private functions or go on one of its regular trips, a particular favourite is the trip to Tewkesbury every Wednesday, May to September.

The Plough is a small pub right on the bank of the River Severn. I like it particulary because the locals are friendly oh and my girlfriend used to work there.
Food is served all day up until 9pm. You can sit on the small patio garden out the front and watch life go by on the river.
Dress Code: Anything you want.

The Little Upton Muggery is a smallish pub that serves food and drink with the occasional bit of live music thrown in.
I had a 16oz Sirloin steak with jacket potatoes and salad for £9.00.
Soft drinks are served in cans and cost 80p.
The pub is decorated on its ceiling and falls with literally hundreds of mugs which is an unusual talking point.
There is plenty of car-parking spaces available just a short distance away.
Dress Code: Almost anything as long as it is reasonably tidy.

The temporary road has now been built, although it does have a 20mph speed limit and the viaduct has been demolished, the new one is being built. (Jan 2005)
The new viaduct has been built, it is just in the process of being joined to the old road so things should be back to normal soon.

Car Boots happen virtually every week in or around Upton and generally raise money for one charity or another. The main one happens on the sports field and raises money for the River Festival, you can also find "Boots" at the local schools and other places.
What to buy: Although these days the large amount of tv programmes like Bargain Hunt have made people aware of what bargains to buy you can still pick up the odd one. You can buy anything from peoples cast offs, flowers, antiques to fruit and veg. In fact anything goes.
What to pay: As little as possible and be prepared to haggle.
