The Epworth Tap

The Epworth Tap is a small traditional wine bar and bistro in the market town of Epworth - between Doncaster and Gainsborough. The food is extremely good and there is a large variety of choices on the main menu and specials board.
It is a very popular place with local people from the town and from the surrounding rural areas and has a warm and friendly atmosphere. We were made very welcome when we visited for Sunday lunch in December and really enjoyed our short visit. If I lived closer this would definitely be my local!
The wines are very good quality from all around the world and very reasonably priced - although they do keep some really special vintage wines too. 2 course Sunday lunch was a very good value £12.95 each.

Favorite Dish: I had a wonderfully warming vegetable soup which was really tasty followed by chicken which was lovely and tender. Generous portions are served so we didn't have space for puddings but they looked very good and home made.
