You can easily travel to Fleet from London Waterloo station. From there you will find the occasional bus for you onward travel. From Fleet railway station you can easily walk to the Hart shopping center.
The area is very popular to live in and most people own a car. So it's best to ask to your friends to pick you up.
In the Hart Shopping Center in the heart of Fleet you will find many shops as it is a proper little shopping mall. There is a supermarket, stationary and bookshop, drug store, many clothes shops and a cafe. You may also find public convieniences, a car park and a post office.
ATM machines you will find outside across the Fleet Road. In Fleet Road which is the main street you will find many more shops and also civil service offices and the library. On the square by the Library you will find a farmer's market once in a while. Best ask locally when it's on.

The former village of Church Crookham which is now a suburb of Fleet you can still feel like in a village. You will find lots of housing (no blocks of flats) and good walking trails for your dog. Also there is an old school building, a memorial to World War I. There are at least a couple of pubs. Some years ago I visited the Black Horse. Also there is a small shop and a big garden center.
Fondest memory: The possibility of nearby outdoor walks. Also I was shown wild badgers by my friends one evening which was quite an experience as I had never seen them before.
