No not the biblical one but the one with the giant greenhouse biomes down on the Cornish coast. Not having a garden at home I'm not big into plants and don;t know much about them so I was surprised just how much I enjoyed the Eden Project near St Austell in Cornwall. An imagnitive mix of plants and artwork in those amazing Biomes. Its a major tourist attraction now and one that will constantly evolvve and develop over the seasons.Check out my Eden Project page for more info.

To see a traditional - one of the few remaining - fishing village on the south coast of Cornwall then Mevagissey is the place to go. Wander around its narrow streets and harbour with its colourful fishing boats and yes have more Fish'n'Chips!See more of this qauint old pirate village on my Mevagissey page

Its quite a trip from our home in the NW of England right down to Cornwall but we managed it once on a short coach trip and stayed in Newquay. Once a prosperous pilchard fishing village Newquay is now a thriving cornish sea-side resort and the capital of England's surfing population with 11 beaches stretching over seven miles of golden sand. The town itself has its typical tourist trappings - arcades, tacky souvenirs and kiss me quick hats, fish and chips etc...but head out to the coast and enjoy those golden beaches and great coastal scenery.More info and pics on my Newquay page.

Accessible South West is a new directory I have just discovered which is intended to help people with disabilities who wish to go to the South West of England find appropriate places to stay & visit. The directory has handy information on accommodation, attractions & other places of interest, places to eat, public toilets, & beaches. There’s also information on disability groups & organisations that can assist the disabled traveller at the same time as staying away from home, & neighbouring suppliers of user-friendly equipment to rent. South West Tourism is the local tourist board for Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly. Accessible South West has been made with money from the South West district Development Agency as part of a wider reachable project undertaken in 2003, the year of the disabled. You can choose from:Bed and...

I love the old Tudor houses like these ones in Colchester. Usually they are leaning is strange directions too because they are so old. I like the fact that these ones are painted different colours because a lot of the time they are just White with black wood beams.

I love the UK. My initial attraction was always the history. I also love architecture, cathedrals, castles, houses grand and simple. My favourite part is London but there is so much to experience in the UK outside of London too. I am mainly in cities when i go because i have friends that i stay with and i don't hire a car so it's easier to get to cities by train. Sometimes i'm lucky to get out into the countryside, either by bus tour or car with friends. My first trip to the UK was to take a Cosmos bus tour to hit the highlights and i've also taken another short tour of Scotland as well. Bus tours have their advantages in that your accomodations and many meals are arranged for you and are included in the price. You don't have to do the driving and you get to see the highlights. The disadvantages are that you have to go where the tour goes and you don't always have enough time in some...
The largest chain of drugstores is Boots but there is also Superdrug which is a bit cheaper. Drugstores are referred to as chemists or pharmacies there. Some are similar to the ones in North America. Boots are often very large shops, with a huge variety of goods in them. Some of the ones i've been in that are in shopping centers have large cosmetics and perfume departments but i couldn't buy a pen in one to save my life! I actually had to go to a bookstore to buy one of those! They have a very good photo department as well and i have had photos developed there with very good results. the one hour developing is about as expensive as it is in Canada in photo stores like Black's to have done, close to $20 per film but not unreasonable if you want to have your pictures developed and not risk the airport xray machines. They also sell film at pretty reasonable costs too. Their Boots brand...
