The place to go for an ice cream is Suggitt's in the centre of the village. I would recommend just getting a tub and then taking it away rather than sitting inside. On a hot summer day you will see long queues outside the shop waiting to be served but this is one queue worth waiting in. I would rate it on the same level as Pacitto's in Stockton and several of the Italian icecreams I have tasted.
