Of all the places to eat in Halesowen, Red Peppers must be mentioned here.
There are plenty of curry places in Halesowen, Cradley and Blackheath...but Red Peppers is my favorite. The food is nice, and it is cheap, and the people there are friendly, and inside it is exceedingly civilized...
Yet there is something more to this place?
Perhaps because it has been in Halesowen for so long?
Or something about the combination of MiddleClass Englishness combined with stereotypical 'flock' wallpaper and Indian Restaurant music?
Or is it because when ever we have visited as a family we have always had a jolly time?
Or perhaps it is the red rose, the waiters hand out to the ladies as we leave?
Favorite Dish: Everything I've ever had from Red Peppers is nice and I can't really say that there is anything 'special' there....
My favorite dish has to be channa dall and pilau rice.
Atmosphere, and value for money make everything seem special.

Halfway between Halesowen and Stourbidge (a few miles) is a town called Lye. It's not called Balti City for nothing by the surrounding population ! Here you will find as many and as varied an amount of Indian restaurants as you could wish to see.
Favorite Dish: Balti Lamb. Balti seems to be a dish common to the Midlands area of England but I suppose the dish has spread further afield by now. It is served in its own two handled bowl and is a bit like an Indian version of a Chinese stir fry but tasting much different.
