We spent a nice afternoon here, after visiting the World of Beatrix Potter at Bowness-On-Windermere.
We turned up on a Friday, which was not a great choice as the house is closed every Friday for cleaning purposes. Not to worry though as we a had a nice time in the gardens.

hawkshead is a maze of streets with small white cottage houses which in the past had a intresting history
