    This is another popular pub which although not in the centre of town , still gets a regular crowd. Has music on during weekends and has pool tables in adjoining bar area. Also has a nice beer garden at the back of the pub.

    Another relatively new pub built on the site of the old cinema. Very popular pub in the heart of the shopping area. Has doormen inthe evening so make sure you are dressed smartly!!!

    Smart would be advisable.

    Ive added The Living Room even though it is no longer a nightclub because it was a place that I and my friends used to go every weekend to meet and drink, dance and have a good time ! The new nightclubs are reviewed in another tip.

    Very much a local pub for the locals but that also makes it a warm and welcoming place for strangers. Nice place to drink in the summer being close to a park.

    No strict rules.

    A great place to watch sporting events. Situated in the highfield area of Hemel. In a small shopping area called Bellgate. ( Nice fish and chip shop nearby!!!)

    Our last trip to the Old High Street!!! Yes , another pub along this street, a good meeting place with music in the evenings.

    Recently refurbished ( may 2004. )

    Tends to be frequented by the bikers of this world .

    This is one of my favourite places in Hemel for a good night out. Very popular in summer because people meet outside the pub along a canal and it gets incredibly busy . Great meeting place.!

    With beautiful views this pub has always been a favourite. Only a small place but with a good atmosphere in a picturesque part of Hemel called Boxmoor.

    The best two nightclubs ever to hit Hemel are now sadly no more . The legendary "LIVING ROOM NIGHTCLUB " followed by " LA MIRAGE" were closed down in the nineties. The new modern leisure complex, " JARMANS CENTRE" or "WALLYWORLD" as the locals call it is a nightclub , bowling alley , bars , cinema and swimming pool arena near the motorway junction. The nightclub is spilt into two. "VISAGE" for 18-21 year olds and " ETHOS" for over 25's.

    Smart casual wear including collar , no jeans for the two clubs
