Take the M1 motorway junction after the Hemel turn off for this great wildlife park which is much bigger and more open than the famous London zoo. High on a hill overlooking the hills of Dunstable downs . In summer there is a dolphin and sealoin show in a specially built arena.

The nicky line is an old , disused railway line running west to east straight through the heart of the town which was used in the early days of steam engines. It makes a great walking trip, away from it all.

Only 10 minutes out of town and you are in fields of countryside, and down a narrow lane to a place called Gaddesden you will find the Old chequers inn. If your looking for a traditional English pub then this is it. A friendly atmosphere in a beautiful area.
