    Sunset near St Catherine's Point

    by King_Golo Written Oct 7, 2013

Not far away from the village of Niton is St Catherine's Point, the island's southernmost tip. Nearby is a viewpoint from which you've got a breathtaking panoramic view over the sea and the south coast of the Isle of Wight. We went there for sunset and enjoyed some lovely photo opportunities. The Coastal Path passes this point as well.
Directions: Shortly after Niton, on top of the hill, there is a parking lot on your right side. Stop there and follow the small path to the viewpoint.

    BONCHURCH POTTERY

by zuriga Written May 17, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

I was glad we took the daunting drive down to the seafront at Bonchurch, a small suburb next to Ventnor. We came across the studio of Andrew Bristow, a potter who has been working on the Isle of Wight for many years. His pottery is very pretty and I couldn't resist buying a few items to take home. Opening hours vary so call ahead before arriving.
