A pub in Keswick Town Centre with nice food at reasonable prices.
Favorite Dish: I had an English classic here: Lasagne and Chips. In Italy the chef would have been shot but it's quite common to mix pasta and chips in Britain.

A fish and chip shop right in the middle of Keswick. Fish & Chips was very tasty here. And the portions are huge.
There's seating upstairs but most people seem to take away their food and eat it on a bench at the lake! The smell of vinegar there was unbelieveable!
If you want to eat soup, however, go somewhere else. Soup is not available since at least 1955 ;)
The restaurant is open until 6:30 in winter and until 9:30 in summer. Take away service until 11.15 pm!
Favorite Dish: Fish (Cod) & Chips of course. Hmmmmm they were very very tasty!

Fish & Chips and Outdoor Shops: Keswick
For two nights we stayed in Keswick, one of the main tourist towns in Lake District. It's a pleasant little town and a perfect base for trips around the Lakes I think.

Lyzzick Hall is a fabulous bed and breakfast about two miles outside of Keswick. The view is breathtaking and the food was incredible! I would highly recommend a stay or dinner visit at Lyzzick Hall!

I'm going to try to find some pictures. i just remember a mad scramble up a rather large and enjoyable peat-y hill that was considered a mountain. More to come if I find pictures and/or memories
