Biking in Thetford Forrest

There are many nice Forests with trails around-Thetford being the closest with wonderful challenging black trails and the beauty of flowers-they also have a Going Ape adventure climbing in the trees for fun.

Lakenheath F-16 Eagles

A favorite past-time of the local Anglo populous is to watch aircraft take off and land at the nearby RAF Lakenheath, home to a US fighter wing. Tight security in the wake of global terrorism has decrease activities to enjoy, but there is still some interaction with the sights and sound of freedom.

If you dress plainly, you will look out of place. Notice she has a creative way of wearing her pants.

F 15 flyovers at Lakenheath

Right down the road in Lakenheath you can see people always parked with their big lens taking pictures of the F 15's roaring round the sky and doing touch and gos. It's fun to see them so close right over head.

Keeping up with the neighbors in Lakenheath

Favorite thing: Everyone in the town seems to love gardening, many have fancy typical English styles with topiaries-my daughter loves her tulips that are blooming in the spring and discovering new flowering bushes and trees~when in these small towns, take time to drive around and look at how the locals live-very nice brick-2 story homes-but the roads are very narrow-can lose a rear view mirror from hitting the hedge rows when meeting another car-and they park right in the street.

Fondest memory: Watching my daughter trim the hedge while talking to the states to her father and seeing where she works on base.
