If you are staying here in Lynton for a while this useful little laundrette can be found on Cavendish Place just behind the Queens pub. This is a self-service bagwash, open seven days a week from 7.30 am to 8 pm, with modern washing and drying machines. The washers cost £3.00 (3 times pound coins), the dryers require 50 pence pieces (usually two, depending on your load) and there’s also a one-shot soap dispenser.
Especially useful when I’ve used it is that you can get your wash started then drop into the pub for a beer whilst it’s working then pop back at the end of the cycle (about 30 minutes) and put your stuff the dryer and return to your beer until that’s done (another 20 minutes or so).
Most of the shops which sell postcards also stock 1st and 2nd class stamps for posting around the UK. However for sending further afield you’ll need to visit the Post Office. This is located on Lee Road (the main road through the village) and is open Monday to Saturday.
Because it is a sub-Post Office it doesn't offer the full range of services but is fine for the needs of most visitors and residents.
Favorite thing: There are two free to use cash points in the village. One is in the Londis convenience store and is available during shop hours. The other is in the lobby of Lloyds bank and is available 24 hours.
