The Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, is said to be Scotlands first National Park. Several hill ranges, "Munro's'' (hills with a height of over 3000 feet) and Lochs (lakes) fall within the park and its the second largest National park in Britain.

The `Copland and Lye Clock', is a three-faced clock which stands at the junction of Douglas Street and Main Street in the village centre. It was originally a feature of the Copland and Lye department store, Glasgow, but was presented to Milngavie Town Council.
