Legends: Legends

by lmiddlet

I don't know that is unique for a club, but if you are in Northampton on a Friday night with nothing to do and like dance/house music, then it is worth going to. Need to look smart, need to be wearing shoes (not boots or trainers the bouncer are very strict about this).

The town centre comes to life...

by telebug

The town centre comes to life at night it has loads of pubs and bars,My favourite is The Tap'n'Spile. There are three night clubs.K2,The Plastered Parrot and The Mardi Gras. But most pubs stay open untill 12.00 any way.The Tap'n'Spile is not a very clubby pub,it is more casual and easy going. It has lots of character and live music weekly, and the people who go in are very friendly. Anything goes.

Now, we all know that there is a lot to be said about the effects of alcohol on the system. Well, this particular section of my UK page proves this point. I remember taking the tube to Covent Gardens, the tube was packed, I was stuck between two lovely blokes with the most fantastic cologne, so it wasn't so bad. Anyhow, I walked about with friends who had been there the previous year, and we went to a club that is right on the corner (I can't remember the name!!!! If anybody does, e-mail me, please). This place was interesting in that it had two rooms where one could go, depending on musical tastes. I liked the fact that people were easy-going and not terribly pretentious, I don't really like posh night spots, I'm more into the energy vibe. London being my first stop on my European tour, I wasn't used to seeing people smoke inside a club, this is unheard of in the States! How I loved...

The Monks Walk: The Monks Walk

by Elric

Probably the best pub in town. i've been coming here for nearly 20 years on and off. The main building dates back to the 1700's, but the site is much older. The passage which runs to the loo and the beer garden is the old trackway used by friars from Beverley friary to carry their dead to the Minster for burial. There are 3 cottages in the passageway which now serve as storerooms. They date back to the 1600's. The pub has been recently refurbished due to an arson attack last year, but a great job has been done. the main bar is cosy, the roof beams dating back centuries. Mike and Mandy who run the place are very congenial hosts and serve a formidable array of great real ales. Mandy is a fabulous chef and she cooks up some of the best food in town. There is rumoured to be a resident ghost, supposedly a monk who hangs about the place! If you ever go to beverley, go here for a pint and a...

I'm going to be awkward here...

by ben_england

I'm going to be awkward here and say that I quite genuinely do not have 'a' favourite nightlife spot. I love sitting in the pubs drinking in the middle of nowhere with a group of mates, about as much as I love going mad in a busy nightclub in city central. There is just far too many places for a good night out for me to recommend any one.The variety of music, the variety of drinks, the 'variety' full stop. It's the spice of life, you know! This really changes depending on where you go. Clubs usually want shoes and trousers, and a smart top or shirt at least. Village pubs will let you have shorts if you so wish.

by gianluca0403

pubs... yes... I definitely love english pubs, where you can meet friendly people (sometimes drunk), chat, laugh, drink one or more pints of beer, listening to local live music.discos... I really enjoyed my experience in an english disco... go there on Friday or Saturday night... wonderful! If you want to relax... well... let's walk through the illuminated streets of some historical village.Because each country has got something different from yours... you'll discover a way of spending the night. something that makes you feel good!

by jcarolj

Glasgow center looks like tiny New York (I am shortsighted I admit) And there are plenty of people in the streets on Friday - Saturday evening. It looks quite cheerful. There is Riverside club if you want to visit Ceilich every Friday and Saturday. A lot of information about what is up in the evening you can find in Metro (it is free newspaper in the busses and underground) Plenty of very nice concerts and festivals...Pubs, of course...Probably some quantity of martial arts knowledge will be of help just to keep the conversation polite.

At night is the party time! There are loads of nightclubs in most streets. There are pubs. Or if you want to go to the Cinemas there is usally a good film on. Or go to a theater, there is always something!England cators for almost everyone! Depends where your going, from classic to hmmm!

i don't remember any of the names of any of the night places i went to except Trillions in Newcastle. Most of the places are great but I had a hard time trying to understand the Geordie language. The Geordies are friendly people and were patient with my Aussie accent and misunderstanding what they were asking. I wore black jeans, doc martin boots, sweater, a baseball cap, and a leather jacket everywhere i went and no one stopped me once.

by gmhpompey

The UK has many good nightlife spots though for me Brighton is very good, especially in the summer. You have the choice of London but in a manageable space with no need for a car!!!The atmosphere that 'gay-friendly' Brighton has, whether gay or not. It's a party town and if you can't have fun in Brighton then nightlife is not for you, obviously. Anything goes - no need to worry about the fashion police.
