The Parlour, Belfast

A student bar, with awful service. Manager does not promote his own food offers, and refused to upgrade my meal to their better offer after spending over £50 on food alone.

Toilets are rotten and rarely checked, with most toilet seats missing. Though music is good, pity about everything else. Monday and Saturday only decent nights, with very few people their any other night.

Dress Code: No footy tops, everything else goes

This is a student hangout which is pretty much packed out every night of the week and weekends. The music is terrible, you get plastic glasses and the pints are poor. Embarrasing wine list and bog standard food. But hey, its for students! They don't deserve any better! If your young and over in Belfast for a few days, it might be a good place to meet the opposite sex, but if your a bit more cultured and experienced traveller, this place will not appeal to you. If you want to meet Belfast locals this again is not the place to go as students in Belfast are mainly from rural communities around the country, who have less of an idea about belfast than most tourists. Its not my cup of tea, but why not make your own mind up.
