St Georges Market was built between 1890 - 1896 and has a façade of red brick. Inside you will find many stands selling fresh fish, fruit and vegetables and bread, but also clothes and books and second-hand goods. There is a market in the building every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
On Fridays there is a Variety Market open between 6 - 14.
On Saturdays there is the City Food and Garden Market open between 9 - 15.
An on Sundays there is Sunday Market between 10 - 16.
Free entry, opens at 5.30am (be here early for the best produce) St Georges Market is a long established market near the train station which has been running for year. Previously rather run down and tacky looking, it (like many other areas of belfast) underwent extensive renovation and now hosts a wide range of items and foods, fresh fish (the best in belfast) produce and local crafts. A restaurant is on the upper floor and on special occasions (xmas, st paddys day or easter) a special display is organised
