Greyabbey village takes its name - rather unsurprisingly - from its principal sight, the Cistercian Grey Abbey, a late 12th century foundation, (with some 13th century and later features). The abbey ruins are substantial and set in attractive grounds. All this is also near the eastern shore of Strangford Lough.
