we have the worth vally steam train in oxenhope nice day out , they also have a bar on the train with real ales on sale,

we went for my wifes b day, really nice food , and the trip up the canal was good , we got to drive the barge which was fun,

Oxenhope is the start/end terminus on the 5 mile/8 km long Keighley and Worth Valley Railway line. At Keighley, the line connects to the National rail line.

We had quite a while to wander around before our train set off-time to buy post cards etc from the gift shop and visit the train museum

This small Railway museum is funded by the New Heritage Lottery Fund- It contains locomotives and carriages that are not currently in use, and explains their history and that of the line as a whole.

UPDATE.....We visited Oxenhope during Ricky52's Pork Pie and Mushy Peas VT meet 2010-This time there was no hanging around - Davesut got us to the station door with minutes to spare -to shouts of Go, Go Go.......... we boarded the train while Dave purchased our tickets-even buying one for himself-even though he was driving the mini bus to meet us in Haworth, 6 minutes away - Gillybob, ran onto the train with our tickets, and we were off.......Whooooh Whoooooh!!
