St Georges shopping centre is Preston's main shopping mall.
    It is pedestrianised and safe.
It has shops of every kind, clothing, Games, Jewelery, Books, crafts plus numerous cafes.
It is on Fishergate and goes through to Friagate. It is all under cover and disabled friendly.

Most of the City is pedestrianised with plenty of pavement cafes and restaurants.
Marks and Spencer and WH Smiths are both represented in St Georges, Debenham's you will find in The Fishergate centre next to the railway station, along with Argos and Littlewoods.
Boots and Woolworth's are on Frishergate.

What to buy: Preston has lots of little food barrows, do try the local Parched Peas (black peas), you get them in a carton, add vinegar to them if you like, these are a local speciality and try the Hot Potatoes as well.
