It's not so special, but it's nice to do it:) especially in a sunny and nice day. We did it and made some funny pictures :)

It was the home of Rudyard Kipling where he wrote some of his popular classics. He moved to live there with his family in 1897.
Most of the original garden is saved and prepared to welcome guests who'd like to visit this wonderful place. There are colorful flowers and a croquet lawn.

High on Beacon Hill (used during the Hundred Years War to warn of the invading French) stands Smock Mill. It dates back to 1802. The townspeople milled their corn there until 1880 and now it proudly sits overlooking the Channel and next to a miniature golf course.

The Grange houses Rottingdean's library, art gallery and museum. We found the museum wonderfully filled with memorabilia of the town's past... WWI and WWII posters and history, antique dolls and costumes, and most special were two rooms dedicated to famous inhabitants, Rudyard Kipling and Edward Bourne-Jones. In my travelogues, I've shown the rooms and treasures to be found.

The White Horse Hotel is situated in Rottingdean, East Sussex. I can talk only about the bar because I just passed by to have a beer and look at the sea. The view is magnificent and it was very important for my decision to chose that bar/restaurant. The sea-gulls are just next to you, so you can almost touch them:) It is a wonderful place in a good weather. A good food and polite personnel make your stay lovely and exciting. If you visit Rottingdean-don't miss to go to this restaurant.

You may want to try your hand at flying over the sands and hopefully not out to the English Channel!
