The Summit is situated on the border of Oldham and Rochdale in a residential area. Being big on sport, particularly football it attract's a good regularcrowd of all ages from 18 to 80 years old! It is also a popular place with people from further afield because of the food served every day. A wholesome meal can be chosen from a varied menu as well as a Specials board. They offer a good selection of wines, tea and coffees to complement your meal, or if you prefer, a perfect pint from the bar. Traditional inside there are separate areas rather than rooms. Thus making the dining area quieter than the sports zone with its large screens, pool table and darts board. Diners can also eat anywhere in the pub or if the weather permits, outside in the beer garden.

Used to be an absolute toilet until the current landlady marched in kicked out all the drunken idiots and refurbished the place.
Arguably the best pub in Royton with live music now on every Friday and gets packed to the rafters with a more upmarket (ish) clientele. Not tried the food yet but i have been told it is good. If you happen across Royton one Friday and Saturday pop in you just might see me there!!!

The Travellers rest is an o.k. sort of pub but for me personally no where near the best. On any a given friday home to many a drunk although can be amusing when the Karaoke comes out and these guys attempt to sing!!!
Dress Code: Bin bags, dont go in the place with a suit - unless you have been to a funeral!

Nicknamed the Funky Junky The Junction Inn has been around for over 100 years and has pictures on the walls inside with victorian people stood outside the pub in years gone by. I wonder if i will have my picture up there in 100 years time - would be fun. An extremly cheap place for a drink compared to most town centres. Nothing flash, no music or disco just a nice quiet local sort of pub. By the way a few Prinz's lagers will have you cooking on gas!!!
Dress Code: In here, i doubt it!!
