The visitor centre has a tourist board shop at ground level, information on Scotland and the various Clans on the second floor and a small cinema on the third that gives an explanation of the spread of Christianity in Scotland. There is a fee of £2 to view the exhibition and film but it is well worth doing so.

The road crosses over Killin Falls via a narrow bridge. As you cross the bridge, you can see the burial ground of the MacNab Clan.

The plaque that you can see is telling people that if they want to access the grounds, they can obtain the key from the Visitor Centre.

Although the photo only shows one cannon, there is actually a pair on display. They were made in the 19th century for John MacGregor and graced his home for many years.

In the 1970s, while in store, the cannons were stolen and were eventually bought by an American for export. This aroused the interest of the antiques section of the daily Telegraph which carried a small article about them. Mrs Ivor Gregor MacGregor spotted the article, travelled to Southampton Docks, identified the Cannon and saved them from export hours from the ships departure.

They reside in the visitors centre on loan from Mr Neil Macgregor, great grandson of John Macgregor.

Favorite thing: There really isn't very much too Killin village, apart from the Falls, a very interesting visitor centre, some shops and a couple of tea rooms
