The X95 bus service runs down the A7 from Edinburgh to Calisle (need to change at Galashiels) and is the only public transport to Langholm. The bus leaves from the main bus station in Edinburgh or from the Railway Station forecourt at Carlisle. The fares are reasonable and drivers are always helpful (will drop you at road end if you live in country).
As this service is tied to the train timetables, information is available via National Rail Enquiries.

There is a large carpark beside the river Ewes at the Kiln Green (to the North of the town). Tourist Information, toilet and picknic facilities are also available.
Off the High Street there are parking places in the Market Square, behind the town hall and in the Pot Market (entry via LH side of the Woollen Mill Shop).
