    Mixture of clothes

    by Kevross85 Written Oct 16, 2007

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Well being in the north east of scotland the weather can get pretty cold and people who aren't from here seem to notice it a lot more. My biggest tip would be to take a variety of clothes as although it may be middle of summer that means nothing in scotland. I have seen it snow in june so beware. Also even on a nice sunny day in aberdeen it can change in a heartbeat and the rain can start.

    Weather in Aberdeen...

by stancho Updated May 1, 2006

Luggage and bags: Doesn't make any difference, unless you want to go to the highlands - in this case I would recommend a backpack...

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Please keep in mind that the weather in Aberdeen is unpredictable and can change within minutes. Make sure you take wind and rain protection with you, during the winter months a beannie or something else to protect you ears - the wind can be verrrry cold! On the other hand you can also have really nice weather, no wind or rain, just sunshine!

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Supply as in every european town else, just note that if you are not an UK resident, things might be cheaper in your hometown, due to the strong Pound Stirling.
Medicine however is available in supermarkets, corner shops or shopping malls and quite cheap.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: The beach and the esplenade are hot spots in the summer.

    Pack for 'all' weathers...

Luggage and bags: Anything goes really. As long as you can carry it, whatever you have to hand should do the trick.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: If here in the winter time, definately bring lots of warm layers, and a big top coat and you gloves, scarf etc. It is not until about May that it gets warm enough to go out without a jacket. So throughout spring and summer bring a lighter jacket and whatever you would wear for elsewhere in the UK.
Don't forget good sturdy boots if you want to go hiking.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Nothing will be needed, whatever you do need you will have no problem buying.

Photo Equipment: Again you will have no problems in finding anything, but bear in mind that at certain tourist destinations the price of film can be a lot higher than in the city centre.

    Handy luggage

Luggage and bags: Depending on what kind of travelling mode you are doing, it is in general no particular restriction on luggage sizes or weight. The airport is also very safe and clean, no particular need for hard case luggage or whatsoever.

Most of the time it is cold...

    by AC1 Updated Aug 19, 2004

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: As the weather changes very rapidly here, it is always advisable to have a jacket somewhere close even during summer. The wind can be very chilly during winter and thick clothing is definitely a must.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: All I can say, is dress for the weather! Although there are occassional nice sunny days, they are few and far between. Bring all your warmest clothes, even in the summer. I find it freezing and I'm from Glasgow - if you're from a country that's even VAGUELY warm, you'll probably make good use of a few wooly jumpers!

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Although Aberdeen may appear to be in the middle of nowhere, it IS a city, and you'll be able to buy any supplies you might need here.
