The Old Post Office Museum, Turriff

The museum has a permanent display of local history, including many old photos of the town.
One of the locals is always on hand to give you a free guided tour, but brush up on your Scottish dialect first though!

    Fife Arms Hotel

The Fife Arms Hotel is a country Inn built in 1770 and overlooks the market Place of Turriff.
This became famous as the location of a riot in November 1913 when an attempt was made to sell the "Turra Coo" a white cow that had been seized from a local farmer for non-payment of National Insurance contributions.
Eventually the cow was purchased by the towns people and presented back to the farmer - the cow living on to a ripe old age.

    St Congan's Church

The ruins of a very early church. The bellcote still on view dates back to 1635.
There are old tombstones and for the morbid there are plenty of old gravestones in the churchyard full of historical data.
