This newly redecorated Indian restaurant in Tulloch street is well worth a look in. Espeacially at luch time when you can have two courses for £6.95 plus naan or rice. In the evening value for money isn't so good, but the range of curries really is superb.
When we went on a cold January evening it was surprisingly busy for midweek, but we were given a very roomy window table in a cosy booth, nicely lit with linen tablecloths and napkins and nice large wine glasses (important to me!).
We had Garlic Naan ,boiled rice, Brinjal Patalia (little oily, but aubergine in Indian restaurants nearly always is), Poppadoms and Chutneys, King Prawn Pista Passanda (very good) and Lamb Ascher Gosht. Then a straight from the freezer Pistachio Kulfi and an equally brick hard Choclate mousse. For drinks a half bottle of Penfold's Shiraz and a half bottle of Penfold's Chardonay, two Cognacs and two espressos altegther came to £58.
I wouldn't have found this quite so expensive if had been unaware of the excellent value and equally nice lunch menu.
Food was good, service slow, but this wasn't the case on previous visits, all in all satisfied and will return for lunch at least.
Most Indian restaurants have tried to become too modern and come away from their authentic Indian style. However, Dingwall tandoori have managed to keep the Indian food and style Indian. The service is good and the value for money is excellent
Favorite Dish: Thefood is out stranding. the menu offers many dishes that will suit all taste. the european dish is also amazing.
