 globetrott Says:  Handa island is a remote island in the north of Scotland, close to Scurrie on the west-coast.Small boats take you there on fullday-tours - the island is inhabitated ONLY by birds,birds,birds... There will be only a few people on the island and so there are plenty of places,... 

 globetrott Says:  For pictures like this you will need a special lens like my 5,6 / 400mm APO lens, that is mostly twice as expensive than a good camera. The smallest distance to take pics is 4 meters and only the object will be sharp when you use the opening of 5,6. It was great fun to see...

 globetrott Says:  These cliffs are really very steep, and there is absolutely no fence - so YOU have to decide yourself, how close you get to the edge of the cliffs, when taking pics ! I was really lucky with the weather......in the background you see the Scottish mainland 

 globetrott Says:   The boat to Handa will start at about 08.00 a.m. and will be return in the afternoon at about 04.00 p.m.There are NO facilities on the island:No restaurant,No Kiosk, not even a place to powder your nose......you would actually have to do it the way, the birds do it...
