If you come by sailboat as we did, there is no problem getting to Iverie. You cannot drive there, as there is no road that goes there. The nearest road is at Mallaig, and there is a small passenger boat that sails a few time a week in the summer.
There is a railway to Maillaig and during the summer you can take The Jacobite steam train from Fort William past Ben Nevis, over the Glenfinnan Viaduct and on to Mallaig.

The Pub has a few "souvenirs" that mean a lot to those that visit the place, and little to others. There is however on thing I will point out (and no, I'm not earning on this lol). A CD recorded at the Pub. It is a great mixture of Scottish folkmusic, rock and jazz. The Perfect Jam! And that is also the title.
I play it often when I'm out sailing :-)
What to buy: The Old Forge "Jam" CD
On the link below, press "Merchandise"
There you can also hear samples from the CD

This is so "off the beaten path", that they placed it in the Guiness World Record book as "Mainland Britain's Remotest Pub"

Favorite thing: This is the famouse bar inside "THE PUB"
Many sailors have sat here telling their yarns.
We wished we could have stayed longer, as we were told it was a quite evening. We didn't think so, but if there could be even more fun, it was too bad to miss it.
Fondest memory: Talking to people we met!

Fondest memory: I bought a CD that was recorded live at the Pub in a jam session. Fantastic music! Read more about it on my shopping tip.
I play it alot now when I go sailing, and it gives great memories about Scotland. I can recomend it to anyone that likes the mixture of folkmusic, rock and jazz.
