Town Hall, Inverness
This beautiful victorian building is still in use as a town hall, although some authorities have moved to more spacious places. Still, it is one of the most remarkable building in the town centre. It was built in 1872 and features neogothic little turrets as it was the fashion at the time. There is a possibility to see take a guided tour through the building, where you will see the city's collection of artworks and weapons. However, this tour takes only place twice a wekk, so that I missed it.
Inverness Town Hall hosed the only cabinet meeting of the British government ever held outside of London in 1921.
