I've been here 3 times and each time had a wonderful meal. The waiters always remember me (maybe because my friend spilt red wine on the table the first time:-) and are unfailing courteous and friendly. I love its intimacy. The menu is fairly short but what it does it does well. I've recommended it to all my friends, just wish they'd open one in London! Book well ahead in festival time.
I thought it worth every penny and even better than the Witchery.
Favorite Dish: The mussel broth and chicken in stilton I had last time were mouth watering.
Located in the historic Old Town on Edinburgh's Royal MileDubh Prais is a popular restaurant serving authentic Scottish game and seafood. It is tucked into a small cellar, which creates a quaint and personal atmosphere. Be aware that it is rather expensive, but it was worth it to me to have one really good meal on my trip even if it was pricey.
