They say they have been at this exact location on Princes Street since 1838, and that the current building is over 100 years old. Standing on a corner of Princes Street sits the great department store Jenners of Edinburgh. This shop really is an Edinburgh Institution. It has ornate carved stonework in the elaborate fashion of late Victorian era. The staff are of "The Old School" full of gentle courtesy & service. The tea room which looks out onto Princes Street is a must.
My friend once remarked about the price tickets missing a decimal point!! So you could say it is rather expensive but worth a visit even if you don't buy anything.
