Located just of princess street, this somewhat a franchise attraction with them being found in York, London Hamburg (Germany) and now Amsterdam (Netherlands). It cost 11 pounds, however the express buss tickets have a 3 pound discount voucher on them.
If you’ve never done a dungeon before then it’s worth a look, however if you’ve visited any of the others then its just more of same and don’t bother.

The Edinburgh Dungeons is a good way to spend part of the day particularly if its a rainny day(rain in Scotland who would think lol). The dungeons are underground and are supposed to tell the story of Edinburgh in the past. There are Witch trials with audience participation (i was the witch during one of our trials) as well as trials for other matters. There was a torture chamber as well as some famous people from history such as the famous grave robbers turned murders burke and hare.

The whole show/event takes around 1 and half to two hours (i think) and you have to stay for the whole show. I would recommend this for older children and adults but would say that its unsuitable for young or sensitive children or those with a nervous disposition as there are some parts that are really scary or weird. Although it is great fun.

Just opened up in Edinburgh is the 'Edinburgh Dungeons'. I haven't been yet, but plan to in the next couple of weeks. As far as I know they are based on the London Dungeons and so should be quite good. I will be sure to let you all know exactly what I think of them!!

This site is very similar to the London Dungeon. They are both very good. However, although the stories are different if you have see one you are not missing much to skip the other.
