The Royal Yacht Britanna at Ocean Terminal (A shopping mall & cinema) is over priced but it does give you a chance to see how the Royals lived and the poor bloody marines who went with them. Around ?10 and it will take about 1 hour 30 mins.
The Castle cost ?10 and you can spend 4 Hours or more. The view is great take a wide angle lens.
Unique Suggestions:
Marks and Spencer food hall and Baxters food hall are good.
Parking is free.
Shopping is good.
Cruise ships come into Leith here.
Fun Alternatives:
Newhaven has a nice small 'FREE' museum nearby with Pubs and garden STARBANK PARK with views of the Firth Of Forth.
A cheaper place to eat and drink.
Passing the Scottish border for the first time...I was eager to see it. But it was a foggy day and I fell asleep during the drive and never got to see the border. But on the way back, it was sunny, some guy in kilt and full works was playing the bagpipes!
Sorry! I am running out of room, this is the Queens Royal Brittania yacht. I guess it could be a tourist trap since they charge for admission........hehehe
