Another very decent pub in Haddington is the Plough. It's full of friendly locals and once every couple of years it gets invaded by fans of the singer Fish (see Haddington front page for full details).
There is an emphasis on sports with a number of TVs in the place, and they do occasional barbecues out the back as well as serving more traditional meals.
There is a decent selection of beer on offer.

I really rather like this pub, especially for the associations it has of meeting friends there. Staff are friendly, as are the locals, and there is a good selection of beer and whiskies on offer. paul, the Licensee, is a great character as well.
The back bar has now been converted into a restaurant area which serves very decent food.
There is occasional live music in the restaurant bar.

If you go to haddington, Give the pheasant a try. The staff and all the regulars are very friendly, The phesant has a great selection of bottled beers which are very reasonably priced to boot. It also has a real coal fire, a pool table, free wi fi, and of course not forgetting Basil the parrot. So if you want a great night out give this place a try. I know i will be going back very soon indeed
