Rated by New York magazine as"in the worlds top ten of must see clubs" and "on a par with the best in New York." it also does a really nice pub lunch and i went in not only to the theatre which if you measure a club by the lighting racks it must be a toasty warm oven in full swing but also mistaked the ladies restroom and had a personal glimpse of the famous {amongst gents } WONDERWALL. Ho ,Ho, Ho. Never seen anything quite the like. If that is your music style no doubt you bright young things will have a blast..The real pattie Kingburger on the lunch menu was incidently THE BEST burger i have had out side the states. The lunch menu is eclectic and varied but the venue really kicks off in the evening when the music plays. Sunday afternoon ,the first of the month there is a great session where the wannabees and gonnabees can have their music played and gauged. This is for non signed artists. Oasis are amongst the groups discovered here.

Groups from Franz Ferdinand,Belle and Sebastien and Oasis all made it from here and now this west end venue has made it over to New York with New York magazine rating this venue as" in the worlds top10 list of must see clubs. "That it is on par or superiour to the best in the big apple is some accolade. I have seen many groups there and even if you do not know the music before you go ,you will in a few weeks time.It acoustically is amongst the best and it does first class food in the bar .Their daily bar is a popular hangout place for wannadee an gonnabees and no doubt to help them not all starve before they get famous the portions are great, some of the best value meals in town

This month was deemed by New York magazine as amongst the worlds 10 must do venues ,on a par with the best of New York. Iknew the west end was where you want to be but didn't realise Manhatten was a suburb of Glasgow... then again with Edinburgh buses and trains running every 10 minutes it has a better link than many other Glasgow east end suburbs.. So King Tuts is the place to be . The venue is small but impressive and the atmosphere is great. MANY BANDS HAVE COME OUT OF HERE ON THE ROAD TO THE REST OF THE WORLD,oASIS, fRANZ fERD.... TO NAME BUT A COUPLE. Well worth a visit. First Sunday in month and the wanna be bands congregate to narcistically listen to there music and meet. great afternoon.www.gigguide.co.uk and www.skinnymag.co.uk give good listings.

Pure Magic atmosphere . At night this place rocks. It is the only place to be. You will love it. The group I saw from ca. stayed at the backpackers hostel i was in. They organise many festivals and concerts around the country. Good food during the day. Pub during the day is a good place to meet musicians and artists. Many scouts for labels see playing here as the def. going places venue. Hard to say which, of the beer is best but they do not just stock the run of the mill stuff.

Rated Best launch venue by bbc radio 1 this legendary venue is a sight in itself. Your sound is a unique opportunity open to unsigned artists,to have your recorded material played at the country's favourite live venue. This happens first Sunday of every month , and makes the monthly winner a lot of helpful offers . Starts at 4 every Sunday. It is a really fun afternoon and there is talk of going weekly. The website is very informotive. Theme: NightclubDirections: West endWebsite: yoursound@kingtuts.net Other Contact: www.kingtuts.co.uk

Walked past it today and from the street looks pretty unassuming .Will expand later ,but as a pub had a good happening place feel to it.
