  • Nice n' Sleazy: start of student west end

by coolcolin Updated Sep 13, 2006 85 reviews

Coming from the city this bar is the easternmost outpost of the westend student bars either up Woodlands Road or the more popular West Argylle street from Berkeley to where Sauchiehall joins Argylle.
New student housing has shifted the student bar area and a rejuvenated Argylle street is booming but if you cant make it that far west,Nice n' Sleazy fills the gap.
Monday THe Acoustic Jam is real popular and
Tuesdays has an open mike session.

Dress Code: Student grunch is most popular.

Nice n' Sleazy: Across the ocean, to go to my neighborhood bar

by misquote Written Nov 6, 2005 4 reviews

Not a pub, but a great bar with a good jukebox for people who love punk and new wave. It's exactly like the Galaxy Hut in Arlington, Virginia, USA, but bigger and with a juke box. I could go there every night.

Dress Code: Casual. Really, really casual. No team colors.

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

If you're like me and you'd rather be able to chill out with your mates on a night out than be in a club where all you can hear is the sound of your own ears ringing then this is the place for you.
Located on Sauchiehall Street (no. 421) this is nothing like the name suggests, it's just a nice place to sit back, relax, listen to some good music and enjoy some nice (cheap) drinks with a good crowd.

  • Nice n' Sleazy: student nitelife

If you like rock and alternative music this can be a bit of an eye opener at times but well worth a look!
Also as it's surrounded by such a variety of bars in the same street if Sleazy's doesnt suit your taste you'll be spoiled for choice!

    njoy!

Dress Code: If you dress smart you will be out of place.

Typical student attire fits in well ( is there typical student attire?) ( metallica t-shirt and ripped jeans ... your well dressed :o) ) but I suggest decent jeans, shoes and casual shirt so that you can get in to bars elsewhere if required.
