The Arches, Glasgow

The arches is really good night out, if your looking for something different.
Best night is probably Death Disco if you want a student electro night out.
It occurs every 3rd Saturday night of the month and tickets are usualy £14 but if you go onto www.deathdisco.info you can get them for half price if you are early enough.
Death disco has attracted loads of international DJ's such as Erol Alkan, Brodinski, Annie Mac, Daft Punk, Justice, Calvin Harris, Mylo, Nathan Fake, Twich(Optimo), Mystery Jets and loads more.
In my experience death disco is a brilliant night out, and definitely dress to impressss!!!!!

The arches is the biggest club in Glasgow and probably the best night out! best night to go is Pressure, last friday of the month, which attracts all the big dj's - dave clarke, umek, dj sneak, felix the haus kat, groove armada, laurent garnier, slam, richie hawtin, jeff mills...the list goes on and on! The capacity is like 1500 and on a big night when its full its quite easy to get lost! other big nights include inside out and colours - tho they aren't really my thing and i haven't been! smaller nights like the funk rooms tend to be quieter and cheaper tho just as good. The different nights have different music, you can find out whats on in the list or the metro which you get on the bus and train.

The bars of Glasgow offer a more upmarket night and are great fun but if you are more of a pub person then it's way better to go for the West-end.
As far as clubs go there can be only one and the Arches kicks the arse out of many other so called super clubs. It's deep, dark and it'd not up it's own arse like so many clubs south of the Watford Gap!!

Dress Code: Dress to impress for the city centre but laid back in the West end(It is afterall during term time students-ville. Don't let that put you off though its got a good mix of all types.)
